As Gym Strongers Yaşam ve Spor Merkezi Ticaret Limited Şirketi (the "Data Controller" or the "Company"), we set out below how your personal data is processed under Personal Data Protection Law no. 6698 ("KVKK") through the camera recording system in our facilities.

Scope of the Camera System and Monitored Areas

Under the Personal Data Protection Law, as data controller we carry out personal data processing by capturing images through security cameras / a closed-circuit television system (CCTV) installed in the gym areas, at entrance and exit doors, in waiting and rest areas, at the reception desk, and in the cafeteria and common areas, for the purpose of ensuring security. Cameras do not record in changing rooms, showers or toilets.

Categories of Data Subjects

The categories of people whose personal data is processed within the scope of the camera recording system are listed below:

  • Employee
  • Job applicant
  • Person receiving goods or services
  • Visitor
  • Other (independent trainer)

Purposes of Processing

Personal data obtained through the camera system is processed in order to ensure physical premises security, to secure the facility and the building, to protect the life and property of members, visitors and employees, to ensure the security of the data controller's operations, to provide information to authorised persons, institutions and organisations, and to be used as evidence in legal disputes.

Recipients of Transfers and Their Purpose

Personal data obtained through the camera system may be transferred to judicial authorities, law enforcement and the relevant public institutions only where necessary and in accordance with Article 8 of Law no. 6698, for the purposes of fulfilling our legal obligations, ensuring the security of the facility and premises, resolving any legal disputes, and meeting the requests of authorised persons, institutions and organisations.

Method of Collection and Legal Basis

Your personal data is collected by automated means through the camera recording system (CCTV) inside the facility. The legal basis for processing personal data through camera recording is Article 5/2-f of Law no. 6698: processing being necessary for the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that it does not harm the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject.

Retention Period

Camera recordings are retained for a maximum of 30 days and are deleted, destroyed or anonymised at the end of that period.

Your Rights under Article 11 of the KVKK

As a data subject you have the following rights under Article 11 of Personal Data Protection Law no. 6698:

  • To learn whether your personal data is being processed
  • To request information if your personal data has been processed
  • To learn the purpose of processing and whether the data is used in line with that purpose
  • To know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom your data has been transferred
  • To request correction if your personal data has been processed incompletely or incorrectly
  • To request deletion or destruction of your personal data under the conditions of Article 7 of the Law
  • To request that corrections and deletions be notified to the third parties to whom the data was transferred
  • To object to a result against you arising from analysis carried out solely by automated systems
  • To claim compensation if you suffer damage because your personal data was processed unlawfully

You can submit requests concerning these rights in writing to Körfez Mah. Atakum Bulv. No:4, 55270 Atakum / Samsun, or by e-mail to info@gymstrongers.com, in accordance with the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller. Under Article 13 of Law no. 6698 your applications will be concluded free of charge within thirty (30) days at the latest. However, if the application requires an additional cost, the fee in the tariff set by the Personal Data Protection Board may be charged.
